Flavor Notes: Prominent notes include green apple, citrus (lemon/yuzu), and tropical elements like pineapple.

Appearance: A deep golden or amber hue, a surprising color that can lead some to think it's over the hill.
Aromatics: The nose often presents a complex mix of aged aromas, including toasted nuts, hazelnut, honey, orange peel, and apricot. Some tasters also note hints of butterscotch, sherry, or a flinty minerality.
Palate: The palate is defined by its vibrant acidity and surprising freshness for its age, which balances the wine's rich, unctuous, and sometimes oxidized character. Flavors include stone and citrus fruits, poached pears, and complex layers of baking spice, toasted bread, and vanilla. The finish is long and saline.
Character: It is a powerful and complex chardonnay often compared to fine aged Burgundy or Jura wines, but with a unique Californian signature.
